White Steps Back from Pierre Post 8 Manager Role

Last week, Brian White, the manager of Pierre Post 8 since 2014, resigned from his position leaving behind a phenomenal run during his time with the Eights.

White led the charge for the Eights to win their first state title in nearly 50 years in 2017. Under his tutelage, the Eights made the state tournament every year except in his final year. White says he’s had a great time over the last decade coaching with Post 8…

White and the Post 8 program is leaving on good terms. White says it just became a time issue for him…

Rob Coverdale, president of the board for Post 8 over the last five years, says White has set the bar for the Legion program…

Coverdale says White leaves behind a program that is successful and expects to win…

The process to hire a new coach has already begun, but the application process is not quite open. Coverdale says they will be posting the application on their website at post8baseball.com, but anybody interested in the position can reach out to Coverdale or any board member.
