The Pierre Post 8 15/16 team will be in Sioux Falls this weekend for the state tournament looking to make a deep run at state.
Several players from this year’s team was part of the 14U team last year who went to championship, but ultimately fell short of the state title. This year, they hope to make that run happen. Pierre went 18-10 in the regular season and are 3-0 against its first game’s opponent, the Renner Sultans. The 15/16 tournament just like the 14U and 13U tournament will be pool play with four teams advancing to the state semifinals and championship round on Sunday. Pierre didn’t play Sioux Falls East and went 0-1 against Yankton, the other two teams in the pool. Gordon says he expects a lot from Pierre…
