Zap Open Final Six Games with Home Series against Casper

While the Oahe Zap are no longer in contention to win the second half of the Independence League season, the Zap can play spoiler as they host the Casper Spuds in a three game set tonight.

The Zap are looking to end its eight game losing streak which took them from a 9-7 record to 9-15 in the second half of the year. The Spuds, the league leader, is at 17-8 and have a three game lead over the Badlands Big Sticks to win the second half of the season and face the Fremont Moo in the championship series. With the Big Sticks playing Hastings, the worst team in the second half of the season, with help from Oahe, Badlands can catch up to the Spuds. However, Oahe can then spoil the Big Sticks chances whenever Badlands comes to town this weekend.

Its also Chislic night again at Hyde Stadium. The Zap will wear their Oahe Chislic uniforms and caps. It’s the second time the team has changed its name for the night to the Chislic.

First pitch from Hyde Stadium tonight is at 6:35.
