Oahe Falls to Hastings Dropping Series

The Oahe Zap would give up four errors and four unearned runs as the Hastings Sodbusters would win 9-3 to claim a series win on Sunday.

The Zap would pick up a win on Friday, 7-6, but then would fall on Saturday 7-3 and then on Sunday, 9-3 as its now how they were hoping the final stretch of road games would start. Hastings would score twice in the bottom of the first, but Oahe would take the lead 3-2 in the top of the third as Andrew Beavers would hit a sacrifice fly and and Trevor Seagraves would have an RBI single to tie the game in the second and a Jacob Trusner RBI sacrifice fly in the top of the third would give the Zap a 3-2 lead. Yet, the lead was short lived as Hastings would put a four spot in the bottom half of the inning and then add another three runs in the sixth to claim the series.

The loss drops the Zap to now 9-9 in the second half of the season and are 3.5 games out of first place behind the Casper Spuds. Oahe will face Fremont in a three game series starting on Tuesday and then will travel to Casper to face the Spuds this coming weekend. Overall, the Zap have 12 games remaining with six of the 12 against the league leader Spuds.
