The 49th annual Governor’s Cup would take place on Saturday and Sunday with nearly 200 teams on the water for the weekend.
This year’s winners would be Chris Haines and Ben Brown with a total weight of 40.22 while Jason Stahl and Jeremy Roe would place second at 39.77 and Josh Brown and Blaine Linke at third with a total weight of 36.61.
Haines and Brown would catch the biggest fish on day one with a weight of 23.08 while day two had the biggest fish caught of the entire tournament as Stahl and Roe would weigh in at 23.55. The fishermen had to deal with the added smoke and haze in the area but, still came away with plenty of fish and a lot of weight.
