The Oahe Zap are winners of five of the last six games including its first ever sweep with its win over Fremont on Wednesday. Now the Zap conclude its road schedule with nine straight games starting tonight in Hastings.
Oahe is just 2.5 games out of first place in the Independence League behind the Casper Spuds, but Oahe might just be the hottest team in the league currently. Having won back-to-back series and going from 3-6 to now 8-7, the Zap are making a push to win the second half of the season. After Fremont collected the best record in the first half of the season, the team who wins the second half will face the Moo in the championship series.
The Hastings Sodbusters come in at 2-11 in the second half of the season and 8-30 overall on the year. Even though the Zap are 2-4 against the Sodbusters this season, Oahe needs to take advantage of Hastings misfortunes having lost eight of nine. As Oahe looks to move closer in the standings, this series is a must win.
First pitch all three nights from Hastings will be at 6:35.
