For the final time in 2023, Pierre Post 8 will be playing at Hyde Stadium as they welcome in the Bismarck Governors for a doubleheader.
Pierre was originally scheduled to play Mitchell on Wednesday and then Bismarck on Thursday, however, Pierre didn’t make the trip Wednesday with Mitchell just announcing they are resuming baseball activities late Wednesday morning. Now, the Eights will finish of the season with a doubleheader tonight against Bismarck and then also travel to face Brandon Valley on Saturday.
Pierre went 2-3 at the Gopher Classic this past weekend winning both of its games on Saturday scoring 26 runs in total on the day. Overall Pierre scored 35 runs on the weekend and will look to keep the bats hot tonight and into the weekend to close out the season. Bismarck is currently 17-10 on the season after a doubleheader sweep last night over Grand Forks.
