Oahe Takes Advantage of Fremont Error to Win over Moo

The Oahe Zap would make a comeback bid scoring both runs off a two out error to beat the Fremont Moo 2-1 on Tuesday and pick up another series win.

Jackson Mix would come to the plate in the bottom of the seventh with two outs and runners on first and second. Mix would single into left field, but the left fielder would miss play it and both runners would come home to score to give the Zap the 2-1 lead. Mix would not get credit for any RBIs, but does get the credit of putting the ball in play and giving the Zap a chance to score. John Patty would toss a scoreless eighth and Micah Larsen a scoreless ninth to pick up the save backing a seven inning outing by Abel Anzaldua who allowed just one run on four hits, three walks and had four strikeouts to earn the win. Tyman Long would double home Fremont’s only run. The win evens the Zap second half record at now 7-7 and winners of four of their last five games. After not winning a series in the first half of the season, the Zap have now won three of its last four.

Oahe will look for its first ever sweep tonight, taking on the Moo with first pitch at 6:35.
