Former Trapper Josenberger Selected by Orioles

The Pierre Trappers, the Expedition League team who played at Hyde Stadium from 2018-2022, now has a member drafted to Major League Baseball, selected by the Baltimore Orioles with the 100th pick on Monday was Tavian Josenberger.

Josenberger played for the Trappers in the summer of 2020, one of the few leagues that still played despite the Covid-19 pandemic. Josenberger would hit .275 for the Trappers with seven doubles, two triples and a home run. He really flourished after his transfer from Kansas to Arkansas. He hit .286 with 10 home runs and driving in 33 runs, both career highs while in college. His Razorbacks qualified for the NCAA tournament but would lose to TCU in the Region Championship. Josenberger would hit two home runs in its first loss to TCU. Josenberger was a middle infielder at Kansas, but played center for Arkansas this spring.

Josenberger at pick 100 was already the third Razorback taken in the 2023 draft. (Jaxon Wiggins, 68th to Chicago Cubs; Hunter Hollan, 74th to Cincinnati Reds)
