Nebraska Sweeps Oahe with 10 Run Win

The Nebraska Prospects would score double digits for the third straight game and beat the Oahe Zap 13-3 on Wednesday and finish off a three game sweep.

Preston Lau would help the Zap get on the board first with a two out RBI single to score Kyle Memarian after he doubled with two outs. However, Nebraska would quickly tie the game up in the second and add another five in the third to lead 6-2 after three complete innings. The Prospects would score two in the fourth and another three in the sixth to lead 11-3 before tacking on another two runs in the final three innings as they would get 16 hits and use five Oahe errors to score five unearned runs. Jackson Mix would drive in two runs with an RBI double in the third and an RBI single in the fifth. Oahe did have 11 hits in the game, but the Nebraska pitching staff only surrendered one walk the entire night.

Oahe falls to 3-6 now in the second half of the season and will have the day off on Thursday before opening up a weekend set at home against the Sawtooth Sockeyes. First pitch on Friday at Hyde Stadium is at 6:35.
