FORT PIERRE — The Fort Pierre City Council is moving it’s normal Monday night meeting to a rare Wednesday night because of the 4th of July holiday. City officials will give reports to the Council before getting into agenda items. The Council will get a presentation on the annual Lake Sharpe Clean-up from Paul Lepisto with the Izaak Walton League and will consider approval of additional summer staff. Council members will consider hay ground bids and setting a public hearing for temporary liquor license requests filed by the Casey Tibbs Rodeo Center. A resolution regarding a plat in the Waldron Addition is on the agenda along with the tree removal, replacement and ash tree treatment policy. The Council will consider a right-of-way closure request for Trader Days and get an update on the city’s strategic plan. The Fort Pierre City Council meets earlier than normal at 5:30 pm.
