Zap Fall to Spuds as Series is Tied

The Oahe Zap would fall 4-2 to the Casper Spuds on Wednesday as the series is tied at a game a piece with the Zap looking for its first series win of the year on Thursday.

Oahe would take a 2-0 lead after four innings with an RBI ground out from Garrett Arnold in the third and Tyler Traphagen in the fourth. Oahe had just four hits in the ball game and couldn’t hold on to the lead despite allowing only five hits as a pitching staff. Nick Blessing would all three of the four runs to score going seven innings on the mound allowing four hits, four walks and three strikeouts. Nick Martinez would drive in the Spuds first run in the sixth to cut the lead to 2-1 with a two out two RBI triple by Masic in the bottom of the seventh gave Casper the lead 3-2. An RBI ground out in the eighth would seal the win for the Spuds as they even their second half record a 1-1 with the rubber match of the three game set on Thursday.

First pitch from Casper is set for 7:30 Central Time. Oahe will then travel to Fremont to face the Moo for a three game set starting on Friday.
