KKVC National Tournament Continues Strong Showing in Day Three

Through three days at the AAU National Tournament in Orlando, Florida the Orange team will play in the championship bracket heading into the final day with the Blue team in the Ruby Division.

For the KKVC Orange team, they opened up Wednesday starting out 3-0 and winning the pool heading to the challenge match to reach the championship bracket. In the first match, KKVC Orange would win 28-26, 25-21 in the first match, then 25-19, 25-22 in the second match and closing out pool play with a 25-16, 25-21 victory. In the challenge match to reach the championship bracket, KKVC Orange would sweep the challenge match to reach the championship bracket on Thursday with a 27-25 and 25-12 win.

KKVC Blue team would drop its first two matches on Wednesday and would drop into the Ruby consolation bracket on Thursday. The Blue team would drop the first matches without a set win losing the first match 21-25, 20-25 and then second match at 19-25, 14-25. KKVC Blue came back and would win the third match 25-12, 23-25 and 15-11.

KKVC Orange will play at 8:00 AM Eastern Time to open up the championship tournament bracket. Orange will need to win four matches to claim the National Championship.

KKVC Blue will play in the first round of the Ruby Bracket which begins at 8:00 AM Eastern Time. It’s single elimination, but will need four wins to win the bracket.
