For the second time, a Zabel brother will be playing football at North Dakota State. Jett Zabel would announce his verbal commitment to North Dakota State on Thursday joining his brother, Gray, as a Bison in the family.
The rising senior and tight end will have one more season remaining with the Pierre Governors and then will head to Fargo. In his junior campaign, Zabel led the team in receptions with 54 catches going for the second most yards on the team at 842 and also led the team with 13 touchdown receptions of the 47 in total for the Governors who won their sixth straight state championship. Zabel says he really likes the culture at NDSU…
With older brother Gray already there and been with the Bison since the summer of 2020, Zabel says it will help make the transition much easier having him there…
Zabel had a total of 10 Division I offers including eight FBS offers and two FCS offers and he says he enjoyed the process and getting to know plenty of coaches along the way…
Zabel along with the Governors can go for the state record seventh straight state championship this fall.
