MOBILE, AL — Construction is underway in a Mobile, Alabama shipyard of the U-S Navy’s final littoral combat ship. Austal U-S-A is building L-C-S 38, which will carry the name of South Dakota’s capital city. Austal’s crew of ship builders got a crash course in the ship’s namesake during it’s keel laying last week.
