Pierre Post 8 would pick up its first win in South Dakota games on Monday with a doubleheader split of Mitchell. Tonight, the Eights will face Sioux Falls West looking for a couple of more South Dakota wins.
Pierre has jumped up the standings and are into the playoffs if the season were to end today. However, Pierre has plenty of chances to continue to move up the standings, but have to string together several wins in a row. Sioux Falls West is now 7-7 in South Dakota games after they were able to get a sweep of Harrisburg Maroon on Wednesday. Post 8 continues to be at home and will not travel again until the Gopher Classic which will be the weekend after the Fourth of July. The Eights, at 2-18, need to convert more games into wins as they’ve let six different run one games slip away against South Dakota opponents.
