PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The agenda has just slightly more content than the meeting last week. In special business, the Commission will recognize the state champion Pierre baseball team. Commissioners will consider approval of a five-item consent calendar. The calendar includes minutes from last weeks meeting, the claims, two new hires and a wage adjustment for two park employees. The Commission will get an update on construction of the John Waldron bridge and will consider a bid award for a new Airport Rescue Fire Fighting or ARFF truck. New business includes consideration of an airport A-I-P grant for the ARFF truck, closing the office for July 3rd and personnel issues. An executive session for personnel issues is also on the agenda. Commissioners will present any dialogue before going into executive session. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
