PIERRE — A Pierre T-F Riggs graduate is one of nine South Dakota students nominated by U-S Senator Mike Rounds to have been accepted into three U-S military academies. Kasey Broers of Pierre along with Lake Kistner of North Sioux City and Jason Lenning of Harrisburg have been accepted into the Class of 2027 at the U-S Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Two South Dakota student, nominated by Rounds have been accepted into the U-S Military Academy at West Point; Ethan Fergel of Aberdeen, Easton Ziegler of Sioux Falls. Four students are headed to the U-S Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Rounds’ office is accepting nominations for the Class of 2028. Those applications must be submitted by October 1st. Nominations are available annually to the U-S Military, Air Force, Naval and Merchant Marine Academies.
