After Breaking Losing Streak, Zap Shutout in Series Finale

The Oahe Zap would win 8-2 on Saturday ending its 11 game losing streak, but then would be shutout on Sunday 9-0 to Hastings Sodbusters as they beat Oahe two of three games this weekend.

Hastings would score two runs in the top of the second on a double by Ty Mattson. The Sodbusters would add a third run in the top of the eighth but a four hit, six run ninth doomed the Zap in the shutout loss, sending any hope of a comeback away. Oahe had just three hits in the loss as the 3-4-5 hitters had a hit each. Nick Blessing took the loss on the mound giving up three runs in seven 1/3 innings on just nine hits.

Oahe falls to 2-15 on the season and will be off the next three days. The Zap and Sodbusters will play at Hyde Stadium again starting on Thursday for a three game set ending on Saturday.
