Rollins Falls in Championship Series as Comeback Falls Short

The Rollins Tars would fall 6-5 in the first game of the championship series as Angelo State would win the Divsion II National Championship on Saturday.

Pierre’s Spencer Sarringar would finish his college career going 1-3 and scoring twice including the run to pull the Tars within one at 6-5. Rollins had the bases loaded with two outs and scored three times in the ninth and had the go-ahead run at second, but a strikeout ended their comeback bid and the Rams finished undefeated at the Division II World Series.

Overall for Sarringar, he went 19-42 in the playoffs, good for a 452 average driving in 12 runs along with five doubles.

Rollins finish the year at 39-17 on the season and for Sarringar, his college career comes to a close after playing at Northern State and his one and only year at Rollins.
