Pierre Post 8 is still searching for its first win after being 10-run ruled by Rapid City Post 22 15-5 on Saturday.
The Eights would strike first with an RBI double by Jonny Lyons in the top of the first, but it was five unearned runs in the bottom of the first as the Eights found themselves down quickly. An RBI single from Matthew Coverdale along with an RBI ground out by Hudson Allen would make the game 5-3 and then 6-3 at the end of the second inning. Ridge Leimbach would have an RBI single in the top of the third and then scored on a two-out error to pull the Eights within one at 6-5. Yet, the Hardhats were too much for the Eights and again too many walks as Pierre allowed another 14 free passes in the loss.
Pierre drops to 0-8 on the season and will face Casper, Wyoming and Post 22 on Sunday. Pierre will open the day at 11:00 Central Time against Casper in a YouTube ONLY broadcast and then play at 3:00 against Post 22 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports. Jon Winkler will have the call.
