Zap Losing Streak Goes to Double Digits with Fremont Sweep

The Fremont Moo would beat the Oahe Zap 10-6 on Thursday and complete the sweep of the Zap and force the losing streak to an even 10 games.

Fremont never trailed in the ballgame although the Zap did tie the game at 2-2 in the top of the third. However, it was followed by two three-run innings and the lead was up to 8-3 after four complete. Fremont had six errors in the ballgame and only one run was earned against the Moo pitching staff. Yet, the Zap couldn’t take full advantage and add more runs off the poor defense by Fremont. Kyle Mermarian and Preston Lau had the only RBI’s of the game for Oahe who are now 1-13 on the season.

Oahe will look to end its losing streak this weekend as they welcome in the Hastings Sodbusters who are 0-10 on the season. First pitch on Friday and Saturday will be at 6:35 with Sunday’s game at 5:35 all at Hyde Stadium in Pierre.
