Sarringar, Rollins College to Play for Division II National Championship

The Rollins Tars will be heading to the Division II National Championship series after its 10-8 win over Cal St. San Bernardino Friday.

Pierre’s Spencer Sarringar would go 1-3 with a walk in the semifinal game to help the Tars reach the Title Series in Cary, North Carolina. The Tars’ Ryan Coleman had four hits including two doubles and a home run driving in four runs. His two run bomb in the eighth gave the Tars the cushion they needed to 10-7. Rollins will face Angelo St in the championship series needing to win both games on Saturday to claim the National Title.

Sarringar is now 7-15 with two doubles and six RBI on the week at the World Series out of the number nine spot for Rollins. Overall in the postseason Sarringar is now 18-39 for a .462 average with five doubles and 12 RBI.

First pitch is at 12:30 Central Time on Saturday and if Rollins wins game one, they will play the winner-take-all game following the first game.
