Rollins Drops Game and Faces Elimination on Friday

The Rollins Tars were unsuccessful in its first try to reach the College World Series finals on Thursday with a high scoring loss to Cal St. San Bernardino 16-11.

Pierre’s Spencer Sarringar was a major contributor on Thursday for the Tars as he helped keep them in the game going 3-5 with four RBI and also scoring twice. It ups Sarringar’s performance at the World Series to 6-12 with 7 RBI. However, the Yotes would put up crooked numbers in the first, third, fifth, sixth and seventh innings to force the “If Necessary” game on Friday to determine the second team in the World Series finals. Angelo St beat Southern New Hampshire and advances to the finals at 3-0 which means the winner of Friday’s game will have to beat Angelo St. twice to win the 2023 College World Series.

Friday’s game will have first pitch at 12:30 Central Time. The Championship finals will start at 12:30 Central Time on Saturday with the “If Necessary” game to be played following the first game.
