Zap Fall to Moo as Losing Streak Reaches Eight

The Oahe Zap would carry a 3-2 lead into the bottom of the ninth, but a walkoff double would score two runs as the Fremont Moo defeat the Zap 4-3.

The losing streak was just three outs from coming to an end, but the Moo stunned the Zap with a lead off single and double before the walk off double by South Dakotan Tyman Long sent the Moo to victory. Oahe took the lead in the top of the third inning with an RBI ground out by Kyle Mermarian to give the Zap a 1-0 lead. Fremont would tie the game in the bottom half of the inning and then later take a 2-1 lead which held up until the eighth when Trenton Duchscherer would tie the game on a fielder’s choice and Will Hoch on a sacrifice fly would get the Zap a 3-2. Jack MaDonald would be tagged with the loss giving up the final two runs of the game in two and a third innings of relief.

The Zap fall to 1-11 on the season and will be looking to end its eight game losing streak with a win on Wednesday over Fremont. Game two of the series has first pitch at 7:05.
