Miller Girls, Sully Buttes Boys Finish in Third at Class B Golf Tournaments

The Class B Golf tournaments would close on Tuesday as the Miller Rustler girls team would finish in third place while the Sully Buttes Chargers boys team would also place third.

Sully Buttes

The Charger boys would finish with a team score of 507, just four shots back of second place. They were led by Gavin Colson who was just two shots behind the Class B winner as he would place third at nine over par, 153 overall on the two day tournament. Wesley Wittler would tie for 15th at plus 21, 165 just three shots out of the top ten. Thomas Farries would shoot a 189 and Marshall Wittler a 198 to round out the Chargers on the tournament. On the girls side, Olivia Olson finished at 16th place at 31 over par, 175 while Berkley Birney shot a 199.

Miller

The Rustler girls would finish in third place in the Class B girls tournament and had two tie for third place individually. Kaihlyn Anderberg and Jayce Pugh each shot an 80 on day one and a 78 on day two finishing two shots behind second place and seven shots off the lead to finish the season. Cassi VanDerWerff would shoot a 203 and Mackenzi Kopecky a 211. On the boys side, Derek Brueggeman would shoot a 180 and James Fritzche a 224.

Jones County

The Jones County Coyotes would place ninth in the girls tournament as Kamri Kittleson would place ninth overall at plus 26, 168. She would shoot an 84 on both day one and day two. Tayah Anderson would be at 197 to close out the tournament while Savannah Hendricks finished at 225 and Emmy Newsam at 246.

Highmore-Harrold

Kendall Cermak for the Highmore-Harrold Pirates would shoot a 198 on the girls side and Gunner Brueggeman a 182 in the boys tournament.

Potter County

Olivia and Neva Mikkelsen would tie for 17th place for the Potter County Battlers as they finished with a 176. Olivia had an 87 on day one and then 89 on day two while Neva finished at 84 on Monday and then a 92 on Tuesday. Alex Tanner would shoot a 189.

Lyman

Cooper Long would place tied for 41st as the lone Lyman Raider in either tournament. He would shoot a 177, plus 34 to round out his tournament.

The Gregory boys would take home the Class B team title while Eli Fogel of Gregory would out shoot Wyatt Larson of McIntosh by five strokes to win the Class B individual title.

On the girls side, Chester would claim the team title shooting a 498 as a team, but it was Allison Kahler winning both day one and day two to win the individual title for Bison/Hettinger/Scranton.
