Pierre alum, Spencer Sarringar and the Rollins Tars are headed to the World Series Semifinals on Thursday as they would defeat Millersville with an emphatic 17-4 victory.
Rollins exploded for five runs in the first inning and took a 7-0 lead into the third before Millersville would score three runs. However, Rollins would score in every inning except the fourth including another three run sixth and eighth innings. Sarringar went 1-4 at the plate hitting his second double of the tournament, driving in two runs and also scoring twice as he was eventually removed from the game due to the big lead.
Rollins will be off the next two days before facing the winner of Millersville and Cal St. San Bernardino, the two teams they’ve already beaten, needing to win just one game to reach the World Series finals. Rollins will play at 12:30 Central Time on Thursday.
