Pierre Post 8 will be looking for its first wins of the season on Tuesday as they travel to face Sioux Falls East in a matinee doubleheader.
The Eights are 0-5 to start the season and were close in knocking off the Aberdeen Smittys on Sunday in the second game of the doubleheader falling in eight innings. Today, the Eights will have the opportunity to get a couple of wins against one of the top teams in the state. Sioux Falls East fell in the state championship last year and returns plenty onto this year’s team which is an early season favorite. East is just 3-0 so far on the season beating West 9-0 and then a doubleheader sweep of Watertown last week Wednesday with a 2-1 and 9-6 win.
The doubleheader will begin with first pitch at 1:00 this afternoon with coverage beginning at 12:45 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
