Zap Drop Fourth Straight to Badlands

The Oahe Zap would fall for the fourth straight game on Wednesday as the Big Sticks would pick up an 8-2 and will be looking for the series sweep on Thursday.

Badlands jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth and did all the damage with two outs in the inning. Three straight hits scored all five runs to give the Big Sticks the comfortable lead. However, in the top of the fifth, Jacob Mix and Trevor Seagraves would single on back to back hits to score the two runs for the Zap and pull them back to 5-2. Badlands would add two runs in the bottom of the sixth and another run in the eighth and improve to 7-1 on the season while the Zap fall to 1-7. Graham Young was tagged with the loss giving up seven runs on eight hits, two walks and four strikeouts in six innings of work.

The Zap will be trying to avoid the sweep tonight in Dickinson, North Dakota before returning home on Friday for a three game set against Spearfish. First pitch is at 7:20.
