Five days after the high school baseball season ended with a state championship, Pierre Post 8 will be on the field for the first time this summer as they host the Brookings Bandits.
Brookings has already got a jump on the season as they split its doubleheader on Tuesday with the Renner Royals who just so happens to be Pierre’s opponent on Friday. Brookings controlled the first game with a 12-5 win, but the Royals came back with an 8-1 win in Brookings.
Last season Pierre finished at 20-22 going 1-2 at the state tournament in Rapid City. Iverson says these young guys will be looking to get better and get a lot of experience this year…
Iverson says pitching will be key tonight against Brookings…
