Zap Shutout for Second Time in Three Games, Swept by Nebraska

The Oahe Zap would fall to 0-3 to open the season as the Nebraska Prospects would get its second shutout of the three game series with an 8-0 win on Thursday.

The Zap would get just six hits in the loss as Peyton McDowell would have two of those hits. Oahe would leave eight men on base over the course of the game including stranding the bases loaded in the bottom of the second when the Zap would have three singles loading the bases with one out, but back-to-back strikeouts would keep the game at 1-0 in favor of the Prospects. Nebraska would add four runs in the top of the third to take control of the game and sweep the Zap in the first series of the season.

The Badlands Big Sticks will be in town this weekend. Badlands swept the Spearfish Sasquatch in its first series. First pitch tonight and Saturday will be at 6:35 with first pitch on Sunday scheduled for 5:35, all at Hyde Stadium.
