Today begins a three day journey at the State Track and Field Meet as Howard Wood will host schools from across South Dakota beginning at 10:00 AM.
The first events will kick off with state champions in the pole vault and shot put for girls in Class B while also crowning state champions in the boys discus and triple jump for Class A and the boys long jump for Class AA. Overall there will be 14 field event state champions on Thursday while four running events will have their finals. The 4×800 relay in both the girls and boys along with the sprint medley relay race will have their finals while the remaining running events will all be prelims. The 4×800 girls relay race will begin at 12:20 and the boys at 1:30. They will follow the order of B, A and then AA for both the boys and the girls.
The day begins at 10:00 AM Thursday morning, 9:00 AM Friday morning and 9:30 Saturday morning all at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls.
