Region 6A Track and Field Finishes after Postponement

A day later, the Region 6A track meet was held in Mobridge as the Stanley County Buffaloes and Miller Rustlers would wrap up their regular season.

Stanley County

The Buffs would win five events as Brandon Bothwell would win in three of those five events. He placed first in the 100 and 200 meter runs while also teaming with Noah Baldwin, Colton Brady and Paxton Deal to win the 4×100 relay race. Deal would also win the long jump for the Buffs. Raegan Taylor would have the lone win on the girls side for Stanley County as she would get a new personal record in the triple jump win. Taylor would also place second in the sprint medley relay race with Brianna Sargent, Grace Sargent and Kaysen Magee. Austyn Norman, Gracie Olson, Rachel Nemec and Sarah Fosheim would be second in the 4×800 relay and third in the 4×400 relay. Brianna Sargent, Emily Nemec, Carlee Brady and Norman would be second in the 4×200 relay. Grace Sargent would also place second in the 100 meters. The team of Cash Richardson, Landon Bame, Justin Trebbe and Baldwin would be second in the sprint medley relay race.

Miller

The Miller Rustlers would pick up 12 wins on the day as Pierce Baumberger would win both the 1600 meter run and 3200 meter runs while Isaak Hunter would win the 100 meter hurdles and the triple jump. Kellan Hurd would take the win in the 400 meter dash while Trevor Werdel would win the discus throw, Alex Schumacher the 800 meters and the team of Colby Kolda, Derek Brueggeman, Davin Nelson and Kord VanZee would win the 4×200 relay race. On the girls side, Joanlei Baker would win the shot put, Gracen Werdel the high jump and Paige Werdel the long jump. Finally, the team of Morgan Kolda, Ally Mullaney, Gracen Werdel and Madeline Nye would win the sprint medley relay race.
