Nine teams including four area teams will be in Gettysburg as the Potter County Battlers will host the Region 6B Track and Field Meet before the state meet next week Thursday.
Some of these same teams were unable to compete last weekend because of the weather on Saturday as the Central South Dakota Conference Meet was canceled. Potter County, Sully Buttes and Highmore-Harrold were all supposed to be in Miller last weekend. Along with the Battlers, Chargers and Pirates, the Lyman Raiders will also be in Gettysburg for the 6B Track and Field meet as all teams are competing for the final time to qualify for the state meet next week Thursday in Sioux Falls.
The field events are scheduled to begin at 10:30 this morning and then 12:00 for the track events all in Gettysburg.
