Pierre City Commission Approves Plat For Former City Hall Site Development

PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission gave approval this week to a plat to consolidate multiple lots around the former Pierre City Hall site into one giant lot. City Planner Emeline Hoblick says the plat request will do more than simply combine lots…

Chapelle Investments made the request to the plat change. A total of seven lots and the former right-of-way for Chapelle Street are being combined by the request in an area known as the Center Point Addition. Chapelle Investments is turning the area in to an approximately 30 million dollar development that includes an 80-room hotel, 60-unit apartment, retail building and parking spaces. Construction on the site is expected to begin this summer.
