PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal building. The meeting will begin with a proclamation in special business for National Police Week and Peace Officer’s Memorial Day. The Commission will consider approval of an eight-item consent calendar. The calendar includes meeting minutes, claims and five new hires in the Recreation, Parks, Electric, Street Departments and a promotion in the Police Department. Only two items are listed on the main agenda. In unfinished business, Commissioners will consider approval of a plat for Chapelle Investments. In new business, the Commission will give second reading to a 2023 budget supplement for the wash bay project. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the public.
