Tennis Begins Class A State Tournament in Sioux Falls

The Pierre Governor tennis team is in Sioux Falls over the next two days as they compete in the Class A state tournament.

Devin Dodson returns for his second year competing at the state tournament, although this year in the singles and doubles flight one. All other athletes for the Govs will be playing in their first state tournament and for senior Carter Gordon, it will be his final tournament. Pierre did get to play in two tournaments prior to the state tournament. The Pierre Invite along with the ESD tournament, so the format will not be unfamiliar and with timing, can feel a little easier. The state tournament is stretched out over two days where the other two tournaments were scheduled for one single day. Rain forced the ESD tournament to play into a second day.

The day begins at 8:00 both Monday and Tuesday. You can see brackets and scores below.
