Rain came through the Mitchell area early on which caused the delay of the start of the ESD tournament on Tuesday. The teams would be able to complete the singles flight tournaments but the doubles tournament had to be postponed to Wednesday.
Weston Northrup in singles flight six had the best finish of any Governor as he would fall in the consolation championship match. All five other flights would either go 0-2 or win the play-in match before falling in the next two matches and were eliminated.
The Govs will look for a strong second day to grab some momentum heading into the state tournament next week.
