Governors Finish Home Schedule with Capital City Qualifier

The Pierre Governors would host the Capital City Qualifier on Tuesday as the Govs would win 14 events at its last home meet of the season.

Pierre

For Pierre, Jason Maciejczak would win both the shot put and discus throws once again while Aleise Christopherson would also have two wins in the long jump and triple jump and Kali Ringstmeyer would win the 100 and 200 meter dashes. Danielle Beck would win the 100 meter hurdles while Reese Terwilliger would win the shot put throw. Caden Thompson would pick up a win in the 100 meter dash and Landon Bertram would win the 200 meter dash. Greyson Schuetzle would win the 110 meter hurdles while Deegan Houska would pick up a win in the 300 meter hurdles. Andrew Campea would win the high jump while the team of Levi Lettlier, Spencer Easland, Jett Zabel and Trey Lewis would win the 4×100 relay race to round out the 14 wins.

Sully Buttes

Stevie Wittler and Lydia Hill would each pick up a win for the Sully Buttes Chargers as Wittler would win the 300 meter hurdles and Hill the discus throw. Wittler would also place second in the 100 meter hurdles and also be third in the 4×100 with Jaycee Jaeger and Hope and Courtnie Weinheimer and fourth in the 4×200 relay. Gavin Barber would place fourth in the 400 meter run.

Stanley County

For the Stanley County Buffaloes, the team of Paxton Deal, Colton Brady, Brendon Bothwell and Spencer Sargent would win the sprint medley relay race while Noah Baldwin, Bothwell, Deal and Brady would be second in the 4×100 and Sargent, Tyler Peterson, Justin Trebbe and Nathan Taylor would place third in the 4×400 relay. Raegan Taylor would be third in the girls triple jump. Grace Sargent would be fourth in the both the 200 and 400 meter dashes while Sarah Fosheim was fourth in the 300 meter run and Bothwell fourth in the 100 meters.

Potter County

The Potter County Battlers had four win in Pierre on Tuesday as Nicholas Schlachter would win the 1600 and 3200 meter runs while Carter Luikens was first in the 400 meters and the team of Rayel Persoon, Jadyn Ahlemeier, Dannika Kaup and Emma Schlachter would win the 4×800 relay race. The team would also be second in the 4×400 relay race as Ahlemeier would be second in the 800 meter run and Schlachter second in the 400 meters.

Lyman

Rory McManus would have the best finish for the Lyman Raiders as he placed second in the 110 meter hurdles while Makaylee Scott would finish fourth in the high jump. Jordyn Scott also finished fourth in both the 100 and 300 meter hurdles. Braydon Oldenkamp would have two fifth place finishes in the 300 meter hurdles and in the triple jump.
