The Pierre Governor tennis team would take home sixth place in its annual Governor Invite on Friday Lennox would win the tournament.
Pierre had its best finish from doubles three as Joe Mikkonen and Weston Northrup would team up and advance to championship match as the two seed. The duo would drop the championship 6-1, 6-3 to the Sioux Falls Christian team. Doubles two of Jacob Leiferman and Carter Gordon would win the consolation championship as they were the sixth seed and finished above their seeding.
On the singles side, Northrup would finish in the third place in flight six as he finished above his seeding as well, starting as the fourth seed. Devin Dodson would win the consolation championship in flight one for Pierre.
