The Pierre Governor baseball team will put its three game winning streak on the line tonight as they host the Washington Warriors and then host the Brandon Valley Lynx on Saturday.

The Governors improved to 3-5 on the season and with the first set of standings released, the Govs are in 13th place in the standings. However, with wins throughout the final eight games, the Govs can climb the standings for a much more favorable spot by the time the season comes to an end. The Warriors would split a doubleheader with Brandon Valley on Monday and then beat O’Gorman Thursday to improve to 9-5 and 7-5 in South Dakota Class A games.

Brandon Valley hasn’t played since Monday with the split with Washington and the Lynx are now 9-4 in South Dakota games coming into the week in fifth in the standings.
