FORT PIERRE — The Stanley County Commission is holding it’s May meeting tonight. Commissioners will meet with Deb Schiefelbein about the Sansarc school and with Rick Striker about the Courthouse building. Director of Equalization Tracy Schmitt will meet with Commissioners about an omitted property tax valuation and Fairgrounds Manager Scott Deal is on the agenda. Deal will discuss lighting for the small crow’s nest and a seasonal hire. Highway Superintendent Lee Smith is on the agenda and Commissioners will consider accepting a resignation from the Highway Department. The Stanley County Commission will also consider a five-year occupancy agreement for the Four Corners Volunteer Fire Department and the Hayes Shop. Two abatements are on the agenda along with the new hire of a deputy auditor and consideration of a West Nile virus grant. The Stanley County Commission will meet tonight at the Stanley County Courthouse at five pm.
