PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider approval of a four item consent calendar before moving on to the main agenda. Two public hearings are scheduled for 5:45 pm. One is for a lease at Pierre Regional Airport while the second is a malt beverage license filed by Zap Baseball for Hyde Stadium. Commissioners will also consider a bid award for the Highway 34 water main loop project. In new business, the Commission will consider two contracts with Aaron Swan for asphalt testing and paving oversight. Commissioners will get an update on the septage receiving station and will consider updating the fee schedule for septage and liquid waste charges. Other agenda items include a letter of commitment to the Electric Department SCADA project; second reading of a budget supplement for library donations; annual renewal of malt beverage licenses and reviewing the 2022 annual report.
