Fort Pierre City Council To Meet Tonight

FORT PIERRE — The Fort Pierre City Council is meeting tonight at the South Dakota Municipal League meeting room. Council members will hear reports from city officials before getting into the agenda. Four public hearings are on the agenda. Two are for temporary liquor license requests and two are for alcohol license transfers. The oath of office will be given to Council members starting new terms tonight. Other re-organizational business will take place as well. A proclamation for Poppy Day is on the agenda along with rental agreement for a mowing tractor and memorandum of understanding between the state Historic Preservation group and the Pierre/Fort Pierre group. The Council will consider a resolution for a bond issue for the state revolving fund for water storage, two temporary liquor licenses and personnel items. Also on the agenda are consideration of 2023 street projects; the 2022 annual report and a reserved capacity agreement with Missouri River Energy Services. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at 6:30 p.m.
