The lots to be given away in Pukwana have existing infrastructure, removing that cost for developers. Reducing infrastructure costs is the idea behind 200 million dollars in state and federal funding currently hung up in government red tape. Lauritsen says Chamberlain has been waiting for that money…

Legislators passed Senate 41 shortly after this year’s legislative session began in an attempt to get the housing money out for use.
