Pierre Track and Field Wins 12 in Home Meet

The Pierre Governors picked up 12 wins on the day hosting both Aberdeen Central and Watertown at Hollister Field in Pierre a day earlier than scheduled.

The Governors, Arrows and Golden Eagles were scheduled for the track meet on Friday, but instead had the meet on Thursday to use a better day for weather. Pierre picked up 11 wins which included two wins for Kali Ringstmeyer in the 100 and 200 meter dashes, two wins for Jason Maciejczak in the discus and shot put throws while Maya Shorter would win the girls discus throw and Reese Terwilliger the shot put. Jared Lutmer and Lennix DuPris would each win the 800 meter run while Grace Richter would win the 400 meter run and Danni Beck the 300 meter hurdles. The team of Lutmer, Alex Oedekoven, Caleb Morris and Haeden Wheelhouse would win the 4×800 relay race. Landon Bertram also won the 200 meter run.
