Pierre Baseball Hosts Lincoln in Home Opener

The Pierre Governor baseball team is now at home to finish out the year which starts tonight in a doubleheader against the Lincoln Patriots at historic Hyde Stadium.

The Governors have 10 games remaining which are five doubleheaders and all will be played at Hyde Stadium. The Govs picked up its first win in a seventh inning comeback on Tuesday in Brookings which will hopefully propel Pierre into plenty of wins in the comfort of Hyde Stadium. Pierre faces Lincoln who is currently 4-6 on the season after its win over the Roosevelt Roughriders on Thursday. Lincoln is now 2-4 inside South Dakota Class A games. Both teams are in need of wins to climb the standings as we head into the month of May.

Coverage of the doubleheader will begin at 4:45 with first pitch at 5:00 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
