It took two different delays, but the Pierre Governor golf team was still able to get on the course at Hillsview on Tuesday and picked up a third place spot.
The Governors were led by Hadley Hart who placed tenth overall shooting a 10 over par, 81. Hart birdied hole eight and parred another eight holes on the day. Madliyn Brakke would finish two strokes behind Hart and place 13th while Hattie Baldwin was 24th shooting a 15 over par, 86 and Andrea Mosteller shot an 89 to round out the four Governor scores. As a team Pierre was at a 339, 55 over par, but only eight shots back of Mitchell and Aberdeen Central who each shot a 327. Quinn Dannenbring of Mitchell, Mattie Weidenbach of Harrisburg and Tanna Phares of Stevens all shot six over, 77 but it was Weidenbach who won the coin flip to claim the overall individual day championship.
