Pierre City Commission To Meet Tonight

PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. A robust agenda greets Commissioners tonight starting in special business with two proclamations. One is for National Library Week and the second for Arbor Day on April 28th. Commissioners will consider approval of a nine-item consent calendar before moving on to agenda items. Two public hearings are scheduled for 5:45 p.m. One is for the transfer of alcohol licenses for Dakotamart and Dakotamart Gas and the second is for the Pierre Chamber for a temporary malt beverage license for the Lake Sharpe Shootout. In new business, the Chamber will request approval of the use of Steamboat Park for the Lake Sharpe Shootout. Commissioners will consider approval of an airport lease with Dakota Pro-Air and will discuss a process change for temporary water use during construction projects. Other agenda items include first reading of a budget supplement for library donations and second reading of a budget supplement for the police department. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 p.m.
