Three days later, the American Legion Relays were held in Pierre at Hollister Field as a total of 13 teams including six AA teams all would compete.
For the Pierre Governors, they would place second as a team on both the girls and boys side as they would pick up wins by Jason Maciejczak in both the discus and shot put throws and Jared Lutmer in the 1600 and 3200 meter runs, while Reese Terwilliger would win the shot put throw, Grace Richter the triple jump and Kali Ringstmeyer in the 100 meter dash. The other win for the Governors was the 4×100 relay race which was won by Richter, Kali and Dani Ringstmeyer and Charlee Williams-Smith.
